What Motorola announced and when it arrives in Greece
Motorola officially unveiled the Signature 27 on 5 November 2026. Techmaniacs recalls that an initial pre-announcement came in September, more of a teaser than a full presentation.
For the Greek market, Techblog.gr and Techgear.gr agree: sales begin in January 2027. Techmaniacs writes that in Europe the phone will be available from 16 November.
On price, the sources do not match. SecNews.gr reports $1,600. Techmaniacs speaks of €1,899 and argues that this will also be the price in Greece. Techblog.gr, by contrast, notes that no official price has yet been given for our country.
Display, processor and battery
The big innovation is the display. The Extreme AMOLED Duo panel stacks two light-emitting layers into one. This lets it reach 12,000 nits, with 1.5K Super HD resolution and Dolby Vision. Techblog.gr and Techmaniacs clarify that the figure applies to 1% of the average pixel level. Techmaniacs adds a 6.78-inch diagonal and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Motorola claims up to 34% better energy efficiency and up to 121% longer lifespan compared with conventional AMOLED displays, as reported by Techblog.gr and Digital Life.
Inside runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Techmaniacs lists versions with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The ArcticMesh cooling system combines thermal gel with diamond microparticles and a chamber 40% larger than before. Techmaniacs points out that it remains to be seen whether this is enough for the overheating problems seen with this chipset.
The battery has a capacity of 7,000 mAh, a 35% increase over the previous generation. Wired charging reaches 90W and wireless 50W. Techblog.gr adds two details: the charger is sold separately and the German version is limited to 5,500 mAh.
Cameras, audio and security
The camera system received a DXOMARK Gold Label. The main camera is 50MP with a Sony LYTIA L910 sensor and LOFIC technology. The periscope telephoto is 200MP, with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x Super Zoom. There are also a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP front camera, with 4K video on the selfie camera.
The EVS action sensor stands out. According to Techblog.gr, it records brightness changes per pixel and does not take photos itself. With the Action Shot feature it “freezes” fast movements. Motorola presents it as the first dedicated sensor of its kind in a smartphone.
On audio, Motorola partners with Bang & Olufsen. The Signature 27 is the only phone on the market with sound from the company, according to Digital Life and Techblog.gr. Techblog.gr also writes about IP68 and IP69 resistance, MIL-STD-810H testing, and PANTONE Coal Smoke and PANTONE Capulet Olive finishes.
On software, the device promises seven operating system upgrades. Techmaniacs reports Android 17. It is Motorola's first phone with GrapheneOS support, an open-source operating system focused on privacy. Motorola worked with the GrapheneOS Foundation on this, according to Techblog.gr.
For Greek users there is a caveat on artificial intelligence. Techblog.gr notes that Google will gradually bring Gemini Intelligence only to selected countries and languages. Motorola Qira supports English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German, but not Greek.
